The 24th China Textile and Apparel Trade Fair was held in New York

The 24th China Textile and Apparel Trade Fair (New York) was grandly held at the Javits Exhibition Center in New York, USA on the 18th. The scale of the exhibition was unprecedented, and the number of participating Chinese companies hit a record high.

The exhibition lasted for 3 days and attracted nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions. There are more than 780 Chinese exhibitors, among which Chinese textile enterprises are actively going overseas to find new orders and business opportunities.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Huang Ping, Chinese Consul General in New York, delivered a warm speech. He said: "The 'needle and thread' across the Pacific Ocean is the inseparable economic and trade network between China and the United States, and it is the crystallization of the wisdom, sweat and friendship of the people of China and the United States."

Huang Ping emphasized that the interdependence between China and the United States in the textile and garment industry is increasing day by day, and the complementary advantages between each other are obvious, which provides a strong foundation for the two sides to form a long-term and stable cooperative relationship. He hopes that the Chinese and American textile industries can seize the opportunity, further strengthen cooperation, and contribute more to the healthy, stable and sustainable development of Sino-US economic and trade relations.

Zhang Tao, vice president of the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that China's textile industry is committed to modernizing the production system, focusing on upgrading the industrial chain and production capacity of high-end manufacturing, intelligent integration and sustainable development. At the same time, China's textile industry is also actively building a green supply chain to meet the growing consumer demand and bring environmentally friendly textile and clothing products to global consumers.

Detlef Braun, executive director of Messe Frankfurt, welcomed many friends from China. He said: "This fully reflects the long-lasting and fruitful friendship between us." He also lamented that it was a special joy to bid farewell to the three-year new crown epidemic and return to the New York Textile Exhibition. He expressed his sincere emotion and gratitude for the resumption of the industry exhibition and the scene of reuniting with people in the textile industry.
